Onward Ticket Validity and Timing
Time an onward reservation so its active period overlaps the moment it may be checked. Avionward's intended active window is 48 hours; the optional activate-later choice can be made up to ten days before departure. Airline-controlled records can still change, so review the delivered itinerary promptly.
Work backward from the review
Identify whether the likely check is an airline check-in, border crossing or application appointment. Leave enough time to receive and inspect the file, but keep the active period close to that event.
A document ordered weeks early can expire before it is useful. A document ordered at the desk leaves no buffer for a route or spelling correction.
Activation is not the travel date
The active reservation window describes how long the booking is intended to remain retrievable. The flight date shown on the itinerary can be later and should still fit the permitted stay and proposed journey.
Activate-later is a timing control, not a guarantee that any third party will accept the document.
Check immediately after delivery
